Overview
TRC Intelligent Grid Solutions is seeking an
Automated Utility Design (AUD) Technical Consultant focused on
EAM development architecture and driving the build to support high-profile client design life cycle projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of industry design experience and hands-on expertise with EAM and geospatial software. This role involves requirement gathering, working with Autodesk API, and using programming languages in utility domains related to CAD, EAM, and spatial environments.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain solutions in support of client design life cycle projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
- Integrate systems and develop interfaces for CAD, EAM, and GIS tools.
- Communicate effectively across teams and client stakeholders.
- Travel to client sites and conferences as required.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Solid experience in application design/development and database systems.
- Proficient in C# and Visual Studio; understanding of dependency injection and inheritance.
- Proficient in the following programming languages: C# .NET, ADO .NET, T-SQL, PL/SQL, REST API with JSON, WCF, XML.
- Experience with REST and SOAP-based integrations.
- Experience with system integrations.
- Strong SQL skills: writing queries, stored procedures, triggers, and sequences (SQL Server required; Oracle a plus).
- Ability to read and work with XML and JSON.
- Willingness and availability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and developing system integration interfaces with ERP, work management, and GIS systems.
- Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD API.
- Experience developing CAD-based applications.
- Familiarity with Autodesk software: AutoCAD Map 3D, Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, Feature Manipulation Engine (FME).
- Experience with GIS tools: Esri ArcGIS, GE SmallWorld, and others.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices.
