Position Overview-

We are seeking a Group Head – SEO to lead and scale our SEO vertical across a wide and growing client portfolio. This is a leadership position for a highly experienced SEO professional with deep technical expertise, strong client management skills, and a strategic mindset. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (content, tech, performance, analytics) to deliver high-impact SEO strategies, drive traffic, and support digital performance objectives.

As part of the senior team, you will also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our SEO capabilities, mentoring a high-performing team, and contributing to new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities-

Strategic Leadership

• Define and lead the SEO strategy across multiple client accounts
• Translate business goals into effective organic growth strategies tailored to each client
• Stay ahead of search trends, Google algorithm updates, and competitive landscapes

Client & Account Management

• Own end-to-end SEO planning, execution, and performance reporting for key accounts
• Act as the senior point of contact for clients on all SEO-related engagements
• Manage client communications, presentations, and performance reviews

Team Management & Development

• Lead, mentor, and grow the internal SEO team (associates, analysts, executives)
• Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team aligned with the latest SEO practices
• Drive a culture of curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement

Execution & Technical Oversight

• Guide deep-dive SEO audits, keyword strategy, and technical recommendations
• Oversee implementation of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO initiatives
• Provide direction on content strategies and link-building programs (including outreach and guest posting)
• Collaborate with developers and product teams on site architecture, crawlability, and page performance

Tools & Analytics

• Lead the use of tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and translate data into actionable strategies
• Contribute to CRO recommendations using tools like Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, and more

What We're Looking For-

• 8+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including agency-side exposure
• Proven track record of leading successful SEO campaigns across various domains, including eCommerce, enterprise, and international SEO
• Strong understanding of technical SEO
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills (verbal and written)
• Deep knowledge of SEO tools and performance analytics platforms
• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring SEO teams
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; technical background preferred
