Release Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Release Planning & Scheduling
• Develop and maintain a centralized release calendar, plan release windows, and coordinate all activities across teams.
• Coordination & Communication
• Liaise with development, QA, operations, and project management teams to ensure alignment on timelines, dependencies, and quality standards.
• Execution of Go-Live Activities
• Lead deployment plans, runbooks, and checklists during release windows; manage rollback procedures if needed.
• Risk & Issue Management
• Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve conflicts affecting release scope, schedule, or quality.
• Process Governance
• Implement and enforce release management processes, conduct readiness and milestone reviews, and maintain compliance with organizational standards.
• Continuous Improvement
• Analyze release metrics, conduct post-release reviews, and drive process improvements for efficiency and predictability.

Required Skills

• Technical Proficiency
• Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible).
• Project Management
• Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Communication & Leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability
• Ability to handle unexpected issues during releases and adapt to changing priorities.
