R & D Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead NVH design and development activities for automotive components (e.g., mounts, bushings, dampers, isolators).
• Develop and implement NVH performance targets based on OEM requirements.
• Conduct simulation and analysis using CAE tools (e.g., modal analysis, frequency response, durability).
• Oversee testing and validation activities including lab and vehicle-level NVH testing.
• Analyze root causes of noise and vibration issues and implement corrective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, suppliers) for product development.
• Manage prototype development, testing, and product validation cycles.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in NVH performance and product reliability.
• Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies in NVH.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Interface with customers (OEMs) for technical discussions and project updates.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering; M.Tech preferred (specialization in NVH is an advantage).
• Experience: 10 15 years in automotive R&D with at least 4 6 years in NVH domain.
• Experience working with auto component manufacturers or OEMs.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of NVH principles (vibration, acoustics, modal behavior).
• Experience with CAE tools such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, HyperMesh, LMS Virtual.Lab, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with NVH testing tools (FFT analyzers, accelerometers, data acquisition systems).
• Understanding of materials (rubber, polymer, metal) used in NVH solutions.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and validation procedures.
