Head of Civil - Automotive

• Cordinate with user departments for all the civil requirements as per the approved business plan and prepare the civil program for the year
• Work along with the team to collate all the requirements and prepare the project plan along with timelines and responsibilities; seek sign-off from the user department on the same- Review list of utility equipment and civil infrastructure due for maintenance
• Obtain the budget allocated for fulfilling civil requirements through the user departments- Allocate personnel from the team members available for execution of projects as planned- Review progress against the plan and budget
• Track expenses against budget and identify deviations; take corrective action
• Prepare annual schedule for executing utilities equipment and civil maintenance plan in consultation with all the stakeholders
• Allocate responsibilities amongst the team
• Direct team to prepare drawings for new constructions; review drawings and finalize them-
• Seek approval from the government / regulatory bodies for new buildings / constructions by preparing the plan & layout as per stipulated norms and submit to concerned bodies through Corporate Affairs
• Understand the operational requirements with regard to new setup / plant, etc. in detail; understand the proposed plant lay-out
• Work along with the teams and external structural consultants / engineers to prepare a detailed drawing for the set-up; seek inputs from the user team and clarify any doubts
• Seek approval from the govt. / regulatory bodies on the final drawing
• Float tenders for the civil works; review the bids via online system (ARIBA) and finalize the contractor basis the project cost and technical experience
• Appoint a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) services to oversee and monitor the works on the site; clarify any doubts and resolve disputes
• Direct team to monitor the progress of works on site and seek clarifications on deviation from project cost / estimate / quality parameters
• Review project milestones with the PMC / Contractor / Operational team and drive successful closure to the project within the stipulated timelines and budget
