Job Title : SAP ABAP Developer (with HANA, CDS & AMDP Expertise)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP HANA, Core ABAP, CDS Views, and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust solutions in SAP environments, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability of systems that support key business processes.

You will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end technical solutions while leveraging advanced features of the SAP HANA database and ABAP programming capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, enhance, and optimize ABAP programs, interfaces, reports, forms (SmartForms / Adobe Forms), and custom objects.
  • Design and build Core Data Services (CDS) Views, including custom views, extensions of standard CDS views, and annotations for analytical and transactional scenarios.
  • Work on AMDP procedures to handle complex business logic and optimize database-level operations on SAP HANA.
  • Analyze existing CDS and AMDP objects to identify dependencies, performance issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with SAP and client development standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning.
  • Work on OData services, Fiori app integration, and backend ABAP support for UI5 applications when required.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for all custom developments and enhancements.
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions to maintain system stability.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP (Object-Oriented ABAP, Enhancements, Exits, BAPIs, BADIs, and RFCs).
  • Proven experience in SAP HANA development, including CDS views and AMDP programming.
  • In-depth understanding of data modeling in HANA, including extending standard data models and creating custom data definitions.
  • Ability to identify dependencies and relationships among CDS views and optimize them for better performance.
  • Good understanding of HANA SQLScript, database procedures, and query optimization.
  • Exposure to SAP S / 4HANA architecture and modern ABAP programming concepts.
  • Knowledge of Fiori / UI5 integration and OData services is a strong advantage.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

    • Educational Qualification :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • SAP certification in ABAP on HANA or S / 4HANA is preferred.
