We are a fast-growing education / upskilling company that partners with NBFCs to offer EMI / finance options to our students. We want someone who can own the end-to-end operations of student financing, ensure smooth coordination, and scale our NBFC partnerships.
Role Summary :
You will manage and nurture relationships with NBFC partners, help students get approved for EMIs, follow up on disbursals, monitor the finance process, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain data / tracking systems, and bring process improvements. You must be comfortable juggling multiple conversations, working under pressure, and ensuring excellent student experience.
Key Responsibilities
NBFC / Partner Management
- Onboard new NBFC / lending partners : liaise with their teams, understand their criteria, get agreements signed, integrate processes.
- Serve as point of contact for existing NBFCs : follow up, resolve escalations, ensure SLAs are met.
- Negotiate terms, maintain MOUs / SLAs, escalate issues.
Student Financing / EMI Journey Management
Guide students through the EMI application process : document collection, application submission, follow-up.Track progress, flag issues, coordinate with NBFC to ensure approvals / disbursals.Proactively communicate status to students, answer queries, resolve bottlenecks (e.g. rejected application, document mismatch).Ensure disbursal is credited, money cleared from NBFC, reconcile with internal accounts / sales.Operations, Tracking & Reporting
Maintain high-quality data in Excel / Google Sheets / internal systems (status tracking, dashboards, reconciliations).Create weekly / monthly decks / reports for senior management : metrics like conversion rates, TAT, rejections, partner performance, leakage.Identify trends, process gaps, areas for improvement & propose actions.Process Improvement & Quality Assurance
Build and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every stage of the EMI process.Implement checks & balances, error reduction, audit trails.Take corrective steps on bottlenecks or process breakdowns.Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with Sales / Enrollment / Student Success teams to align on student data, timelines.Coordinate with Finance / Accounts / Legal for fund reconciliation, compliance, documentation.Escalate risks or delays to leadership.What We Expect / Ideal Profile
Experience : Minimum 6 months (preferable but if fresher and has keen interest in learning can also apply) in operations, lending / NBFC / education finance / banking operations or similar.Strong Excel / Analytics : You should be comfortable managing large spreadsheets, doing reconciliations, dashboards.Communication & Soft Skills : Excellent verbal + written communication. Ability to deal patiently and empathetically with students, and firmly with NBFC partners.Organized / Multi-tasker : Able to manage multiple cases / conversations simultaneously, without letting things slip.Problem-solver / Proactive : You spot issues before they escalate, take initiative to resolve.Attention to detail & high ownership : You care about data accuracy, process discipline, follow-ups.Urgency / Speed / Accountability : Must be able to work fast, meet deadlines, handle pressure.Onsite in Pune : The role is based in Pune office — you should be local or willing to relocate / commute.Immediate joiner / short notice preferred.
