Job descriptionProvide direct instruction in one-on-one, small group, or whole-class settings. Adapt classroom materials, instructional methods, and teaching strategies to support students with various learning needs. Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to support positive behavior and academic engagement. Work with students to develop social and emotional skills, encouraging self-regulation and positive interactions. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to create an inclusive learning environment. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and discussions about student progress. Regularly assess student progress, adjust teaching methods accordingly, and provide feedback to students and parents. Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and other relevant data. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, needs, and strategies for supporting learning at home. Provide resources and guidance to families to support their child’s development. Maintain an organized and supportive classroom environment. Ensure that all materials and resources are accessible to students with disabilities. Stay updated with best practices in special education, new teaching strategies, and assistive technologies. Participate in training, workshops, and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge. Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (required). Certification : Certification in Special Education (depending on location or institution). Experience : Previous experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.
