Job description

Position : Ruby on Rails (ROR) Developer

Location : Remote

Experience : 3 to 6 Years

Education : Bachelor’s in Computer Science / MCA or equivalent

Industry : SaaS

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails and a keen interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance product functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and enhance robust web applications. Your expertise in JavaScript (jQuery & React) , PostgreSQL , and GitHub workflows will be crucial to driving product development forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and ERB templates
  • Build and enhance front-end components using JavaScript , jQuery , and React
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices
  • Work with PostgreSQL for data modeling and efficient queries
  • Collaborate with team members via GitHub , managing branches, pull requests, and code reviews
  • Integrate and experiment with AI tools and APIs to deliver intelligent features
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Proficiency in ERB templating , HTML , CSS , and responsive design
  • Strong command of JavaScript , with experience in jQuery and React
  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL , including performance tuning and complex queries
  • Familiarity with Git / GitHub workflows and CI / CD processes
  • Working knowledge of AI tools / APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face) and how they can be integrated into web apps
  • Ability to write well-tested, well-documented code

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq, Resque)
  • Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployment
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Interest in prompt engineering or ML / AI applications
