Job descriptionRecruit, retain, and support a diverse and talented faculty committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for faculty members. Conduct regular evaluations of faculty performance and provide constructive feedback. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and well-being. Implement strategies to enhance student recruitment, retention, and graduation rates. Engage with students through academic advising, mentorship programs, and extracurricular activities. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the law school, including budget planning and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies. Collaborate with university administrators, department chairs, and other stakeholders to advance institutional goals. Ph.D degree from an accredited Law School. Distinguished record of teaching, and / or practice. Demonstrated leadership experience in academic administration, preferably in a university. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and consensus among diverse stakeholders. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the law school's operations. Visionary thinking, strategic planning abilities, and a passion for legal education.
The Director of the Law School serves as the chief academic and administrative officer responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the law school. The Director is expected to foster a culture of excellence in legal education, research, and service while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion among students, faculty, and staff.
