Role Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Engineer with a strong focus on MySQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our database servers. This role requires a professional with deep expertise in database technologies, performance tuning, security, and data migration. You will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability, integrity, and performance of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Administration & Maintenance : Install, configure, and maintain the performance of relational and non-relational database servers.
Query Development & Optimization : Write, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
Data Migration : Design and execute data migration strategies.
Security & Integrity : Develop and implement processes for optimizing database security, integrity, and access permissions.
Standards & Policies : Set and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures.
Backup & Recovery : Perform regular database backups and ensure robust data restoration strategies are in place.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Monitor and tune database performance for high availability and efficiency, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues and bottlenecks.
Automation : Automate recurring database tasks to improve operational efficiency.
Technology Implementation : Research, recommend, and implement emerging database technologies.
Reporting : Create and maintain database reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

Technical Skills :

Database Technology : Proficient in database technologies, with a specific focus on MySQL.

SQL : Strong command of SQL and familiarity with SQL Server tools.

Database Management : Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery techniques, and performance monitoring standards.

Data Modeling : Sound understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.

Scripting : Proficient in PowerShell and Unix Shell scripting.

Soft Skills : Impeccable attention to detail, excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Education :

A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (B.E. / B.Tech / MCA).

Specific Experience :

Minimum 3 years of experience as a MySQL Database Developer or in a related role.
