About the Role

Namasys is hiring an experienced

AS / 400 Developer

who can take ownership of both

application development

and

Level 1 production support

in a dynamic and remote-first work environment. The role requires hands-on expertise in RPG / CL development and a strong understanding of operational support workflows, including job monitoring, issue triage, and basic troubleshooting on the IBM iSeries (AS / 400) platform.

You will work on business-critical systems across industries like manufacturing, finance, and logistics, while also ensuring system stability and first-response resolution in live environments.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain AS / 400 applications using

RPGLE ,

Free-format RPG ,

CL / CLLE ,

and

SQL / 400 .

L1 Production Support

batch jobs , job queues, message queues, and printer files; resolve first-level issues proactively.

Required Skills and Experience

5 years of hands-on experience

in

AS / 400 (IBM i)

development and support.

RPG IV / ILE / Free RPG ,

CLP / CLLE , and

SQL / 400 (DB2) .

SEU ,

PDM ,

RDi , and job scheduling systems.

L1 application or system support

— job monitoring, basic troubleshooting, incident

management.
