JD : Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by acquiring and managing a portfolio of commercial and personal P&C insurance clients across targeted industries and geographies.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, focusing on premium generation and client retention.
- Identify client needs and risk exposures , and recommend tailored insurance solutions including property, general liability, auto, workers’ compensation, and specialty lines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and carrier partners to ensure competitive pricing, coverage optimization, and seamless service delivery.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles , including prospecting, needs analysis, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Collaborate with internal teams —including underwriting, claims, and account management—to ensure high-quality client onboarding and ongoing support.
- Stay informed on market trends , regulatory changes, and competitor offerings to position the firm’s value proposition effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions using CRM tools and reporting dashboards.
🎓 Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field (Certifications like IRDAI, CPCU, or ARM are a plus).3–7 years of proven experience in P&C insurance sales , preferably in a brokerage or carrier environment.Strong understanding of commercial and personal lines insurance products , underwriting principles, and risk management practices.Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets , with a track record of building long-term client relationships.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills , with the ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly.Strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach and a passion for solving client challenges.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM platformsSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.
