About The Remedy Project
The Remedy Project (TRP) is a Hong Kong–based social impact organisation. We aim to build better ecosystems of work to help workers access remedies in global supply chains.
We work with the private sector on a range of business and human rights-related issues, focusing on human rights due diligence, operational grievance mechanisms, and remediation of human rights impacts. We also work closely with governments, civil society, and UN agencies on policy, research, and capacity-building programs to counter exploitation in global supply chains.
We envision a future where all workers in global supply chains are respected, protected, and have access to fair and transparent remedies.
Why This Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our growing team. This is a full-time role offering an opportunity to work across TRP’s client projects, innovation initiatives, and regional programming.
The Associate will report to CEO and Senior Counsel and will collaborate closely with team members and partners across different workstreams. We are especially looking for someone able to support on-site deployment in India, South Asia, or Southeast Asia, and who brings strong analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills to our work.
Key Responsibilities May Include :
- Designing, drafting, and supporting implementation of business and human rights policies, procedures, and toolkits for corporate, public sector, and civil society partners (including internal and supplier policies, HRDD processes, training and capacity building, related gap analyses, etc.).
- Conducting human rights due diligence (HRDD), human rights impact assessments (HRIAs), and working on grievance / remediation frameworks
- Conducting or supporting on-site stakeholder consultations, management interviews, and worker engagements
- Identifying and preparing RFP responses, proposals and SOWs
- Contributing to TRP’s innovation and communications initiatives, including exploring responsible applications of AI and digital tools to strengthen human rights and sustainability outcomes
- Managing client and partner relationships and identifying opportunities for collaboration
- Supporting the development of thought leadership materials, including blog posts, briefs, and reports
What We’re Looking For :
Strong drive to make practical social sustainability impact by working with both the private and public sectors.2-3+ years of professional experience in a rigorous environment (e.g. corporate law, audit / consulting, human rights advisory)Demonstrated ability to deliver work to a high standard and managing assignments under tight deadlinesExperience working with private sector clients or sustainability / ESG teamsStrong English writing skills with attention to detail; experience drafting reports, memos, presentation decks, and thought leadership materials.Proficient spoken EnglishMotivated in learning and skills developmentComfortable and familiarity working closely with senior associates and management.Ability and willingness to travel within the region (India, South Asia, SEA)Strong self-management skills, able to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining proactive communicationPreferred
3+ years of substantive experience in ESG, HRIA, or sustainability compliance (especially in corporate or consulting contexts); or equivalent experience from adjacent fields demonstrating strong analytical and drafting skills (e.g., law, audit, or advisory).Field experience conducting stakeholder engagement, worker consultations, or investigations in India / South / Southeast AsiaFamiliarity with workers’ rights and supply chain issues in the regionProficiency in a regional languages (e.g., Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Bahasa, Thai)Familiarity with AI or digital research tools for analysis, knowledge management, or project coordinationPrior experience in advisory, in-house, or social enterprise settingsWhat It’s Like to Work at TRP
