Inviting applications for the role of Domain Trainee / Management Trainee-Reinsurance Accounting & Reporting

Responsibilities :

• .Technical Accounting - Manage accounting for all Local and Syndicate entities, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting of reinsurance transactions
• .Premiums - Process written and earned premiums, perform Acumen validation, handle premium adjustments and reconciliations in accordance with accounting policies
• .Losses & Reserves - Post IBNR and loss schedules (e.g., held reserves), validate movements, and support actuarial inputs for reserve accuracy
• .Expenses & DAC - Account for Deferred Acquisition Costs (DAC), operating, and administrative expenses with proper allocation and documentation
• .Financial Close Activities - Perform month-end closing, including profit commission, intercompany settlements, UK GAAP adjustments, FX proofs, and currency balance sheet reconciliations
• .Reporting & Analysis - Prepare lead schedules for P&L and Balance Sheet, consolidation packs for multiple affiliates, and recharge journals where applicable
• .Debtors & Controls - Oversee aged debtors and broker reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution, control adherence, and data accuracy across reporting cycles
• .Continuous Improvement & Controls - Strengthen process controls, identify automation opportunities, and drive consistency and efficiency across Reinsurance operations

Minimum Qualifications :

Experience in working with an insurance client is must
