About the Role
We are looking for a Chief Storyteller - someone who can passionately narrate stories via videos or static content pieces to build SSTs brand. This is not just a content role : it is about guarding the voice of SST, creating narratives that inspire Class 12 aspirants, and ensuring every piece of content resonates, goes deeper, and is shareworthy.
Youll collaborate with faculty, students, and the communications team to craft powerful narratives around SSTs mission of rebooting engineering education, student projects & achievements, CXO sessions, innovation lab breakthroughs, and the SST experience itself. Youll also set creative guardrails for the brand - deciding what we should and should not say. If you are obsessed with storytelling, video packaging, and narrative virality, this is the role for you.
What you will Define SSTs Brand Voice : Establish storytelling guardrails - ensuring authenticity, consistency, and resonance with Class 12 students.
- Scriptwriting & Content Creation : Write and review scripts for YouTube long-form, Instagram reels / carousels, and LinkedIn stories.
- Video Packaging for Virality : Own the creative direction of how videos are conceptualized, packaged, and delivered for maximum reach and impact.
- Supermentor Sessions : Shape narratives during sessions by guiding flow, scripting hooks, and aligning questions with viral potential.
- Packaging of videos : Good understanding of packaging videos, thumbnails and titles and repackage older videos.
- Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with the Content Marketing Manager, Associate, and UGC / Community teams to integrate storytelling into every touchpoint.
- Pre-Production & Post-Production : Deeply involved in creative planning, shoot direction, and final edits to ensure storytelling excellence.
- Content Calendar Alignment : Contribute to and enrich the overall content calendar with high-quality brand stories.
Growth Evolve into Creative Director / Head of Storytelling across Scalers ecosystem.
Work closely with leadership, faculty, and founders to build institutional brand presence.Required Qualifications (Max 5-6)
Experience : 4-5 years in storytelling, content creation, or brand marketing - ideally in youth-focused brands.Storytelling Mastery : Proven ability to craft compelling narratives that connect emotionally with students and families.Audience Obsession : Deep understanding of Class 12 TG - their motivations, aspirations, and cultural context.Creative Direction : Strong grasp of video pre-production, scripting, and packaging for virality.Hybrid Background : Blend of agency / production exposure (for creative rigor) and education / tech experience (for TG understanding).Collaboration Skills : Ability to work across teams (faculty, students, marketing) while being the guardian of brand voice.Portfolio : A track record of videos or campaigns that achieved significant reach / impact through storytelling.Application Process
