Job Summary :
Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications through comprehensive manual testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver seamless user experiences. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Test Planning : Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and specifications.
- Manual Testing : Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, or desktop applications to identify bugs, defects, and usability issues.
- Functional Testing : Validate application functionality, ensuring alignment with business requirements and user expectations.
- Regression Testing : Perform regression testing to ensure new features or updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Defect Reporting : Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello, providing clear and detailed bug reports.
- Collaboration : Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Test Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect logs.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Support UAT by assisting end-users or clients in validating application functionality.
- Cross-Browser / Device Testing : Ensure applications perform consistently across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Agile Participation : Contribute to Agile / Scrum processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Quality Assurance : Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Continuous Improvement : Provide feedback on product usability, performance, and quality to improve overall user experience.
Qualifications :
Experience : 2- 5 years of experience in manual software testing or quality assurance roles.
Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.Familiarity with web and mobile application testing, including cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).Basic understanding of APIs and tools like Postman or SoapUI for API testing.Familiarity with SQL for querying databases to validate data integrity (optional but preferred).Soft Skills :
