We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer for both L2 (Level 2) and L3 (Level 3) support roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for Azure-based environments, addressing complex issues, and optimizing cloud infrastructure performance.
As an L2 or L3 engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining high availability, security, and performance of cloud services. Responsibilities :
L2 Support Responsibilities :
- Provide first-line and second-line support for incidents and service requests in Azure environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Azure-based infrastructure and applications to ensure performance, availability, and reliability.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Databases, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and resolve problems quickly.
- Perform routine cloud resource management tasks such as scaling, patching, and resource provisioning.
- Assist with Azure DevOps and CI / CD pipeline configurations and troubleshooting.
- Document support processes, issues, resolutions, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues in compliance with SLA targets. L3 Support Responsibilities :
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance for complex Azure cloud issues escalated from L2 support.
- Lead the analysis and resolution of critical incidents, ensuring minimal service disruption and fast recovery times.
- Work with cloud architects to design and implement advanced cloud solutions and custom configurations in Azure.
- Perform root cause analysis for high-impact incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and implement cloud optimization strategies for cost management, resource allocation, and performance enhancement.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution for Azure environments.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to meet evolving business needs.
- Provide guidance on security best practices, including Azure Security Center, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management. Key Skills & Qualifications :
For both L2 and L3 roles :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure Compute, Networking, Storage, and Databases.Strong proficiency in Azure monitoring tools, logging, and diagnostic tools (e.G., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics).Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management.Hands-on experience with Azure automation tools (Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, Terraform, etc.).Proficiency with troubleshooting networking issues in Azure, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and VNET configurations.Experience with managing and configuring Azure DevOps for CI / CD pipelines and version control.Familiarity with Azure security services such as Azure Security Center, Key Vault, and Sentinel.Understanding of Azure cost management, resource tagging, and optimization.Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native application troubleshooting.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.For L3 Support (in addition to L2 skills) :
Extensive experience with Azure infrastructure architecture, configuration, and management.Advanced troubleshooting skills with a deep understanding of Azure networking, identity management, and cloud security best practices.Strong understanding of cloud governance, compliance, and best practices for high availability and disaster recovery in Azure.Ability to design, implement, and optimize custom cloud solutions based on client requirements.Advanced knowledge of scripting and automation for cloud infrastructure management and problem resolution.
