PT Engineer Lubrizol Life Sciences (LLS)
Background
The Lubrizol Life Science Process Technology (PT) team has an opening for an LLS PT Engineer. This team supports successful LLS product commercialization from product initiation through first production for the Lubrizol Surface Science business. The LLS engineer will engage and collaborate with a diverse set of teams throughout the organization. This role will be responsible for providing operations input to influence decisions throughout the new product commercialization process, leading global process technology improvements, and driving asset productivity savings. The engineer is also a key contact for global manufacturing facilities to provide ongoing LLS products safety support, product quality support, process standardization, and driving continuous improvement.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Early and ongoing engagement with customers, global commercial and technical teams within each business group to understand and implement relevant growth strategies
- Partner with Process Innovation and Process Technology pilot facilities to identify and validate Most Effective Technology (MET)Plus and Prime value propositions and implementation strategies
- Drive LSS global alignment and achievement of MET standards
- Support LSS product manufacturing trials to ensure compliance with process capability targets
- Identify and lead global productivity improvement projects
- Lead projects and present project status updates, clearly communicate goals, progress, and results
- Effective collaboration with other departments, such as global commercial and technical teams, Product Integrity, Formulation Science, Supply Chain, Master Data, R&D, Testing, Global Operations, 3rd Party Manufacturing
- Effective use of the Product Number Request (PNR) process to support product commercialization
- Comply with applicable internal and external Lubrizol and HSES policies
Skills, Qualifications, And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.Minimum 2 years Chemical Manufacturing industry experienceEffective at identifying and implementing people, process, and technology changesEffective interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and technical writing skillsSelf-driven with ability to manage and lead multiple technology assignmentsContinuous improvement focusAnalytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and data analysis skillsConsidered a Plus
Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalentKnowledge of personal care and polymerization chemistryLean six sigma experience, green or black belt certificationSkills Required
