Job description

To assist the PM & other project team members to execute Detailed Engineering and FEED job in a project. Support department to establish the and Update procedures and standards

Performing Simulation studies and developing Heat & Mass Balance sheet

Flare, Blowdown & Depressurization calculations

Sizing of Equipment, Instrument and Lines

Performing Hydraulic calculation of network lines

Estimation of Power load

Preparation of Engineering documents, reports & Operating manual

Preparation of PFD, P&ID

Preparation of SAFE Charts, Cause & Effect Diagram

Preparation of Datasheets for Rotating, Static and Instruments

Guiding Project management team on emergency

Forecasting deliverables affect the schedule

  • To review contract scope, prepare list of deliverables and provide inputs to planning based on budgeted manhours.
  • To check and approve all documents / deliverables using checklists and checkprints.
  • To be responsible for all the technical decisions
  • To ensure that work is executed on schedule and within the agreed manhours
  • To initiate and discuss design changes with the FH and Project
  • Manager / Project Engineer and raise DCS (Design Change Sheet)
  • To ensure that all documents / deliverables (originals and copies) and correspondence are filed (refer CP-5007).
  • To ensure that the Time Sheet Procedures are followed by his teammembers.
  • Plan, allocate / reallocate, monitor work and man-hours for his team members through FH.
  • To anticipate and discuss any potential delays and problems, if any,with the FH and / or Project Engineering Manager / Project Engineer.
  • To participate in meetings, review the minutes and incorporate the same into further work on the contract.
  • To brief the FH on contract status / progress and resolve issue if any
  • To ensure that all the documents / deliverables and correspondence, received from other disciplines are reviewed, responded to and / or incorporated appropriately.
  • Shall update the Master list (DCI / MCI) containing records of status of all documents generated on a contract
  • To co-operate with fellow Lead Engineers and Project Manager / Project Engineer for smooth execution of contracts
  • Provide inputs to project manager for project closeout report and lessons learnt
  • To ensure Project Quality Plan is implemented for the project.
  • To coordinate with Quality for External / Internal audits and take corrective actions for any deviation from procedures.
  • To ensure that the CPs / DPs and Project specific procedures are followed
  • To follow Quality Objectives and maintain data
  • To train the sub-ordinate and enhance the skills of team members.
