The Supplier Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure cost quality and delivery performance aligning with organizational goals. This role involves end-to-end supply chain engagement supplier qualification and risk mitigation for machined components

Key Responsibilities

• Identify qualify and develop strategic suppliers for machining commodities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliers
• Conduct regular supplier capability / capacity assessments to support Applied Materials demand and mitigating supply chain risks
• Measure supplier KPIs covering cost quality Delivery and Lead time.
• Identify alternate sources to enhance capacity mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity
• Continuously evaluate market trends cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and to maintain competitive pricing
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base
• Collaborate with engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and materials meeting the cost targets and material specifications
• Act as the escalation point for supplier issues and drive resolution
• Aligns and implements commodity strategies
• Engages new supplier introduction and / or disengagement requirements to / from the Applied Materials supply base
• Support resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality cost delivery or lead-time
