We're Hiring : Grid Engineer
Senvion is seeking a dynamic Grid Engineer, who will be responsible for understanding and interpreting Indian grid codes, CEA (Central Electricity Authority) requirements, and other regulatory frameworks governing grid operations and support Customer ensuring smooth grid commissioning.
Key Responsibilities :
Interpret and analyze grid codes, CEA requirements, and other regulatory documents to ensure compliance with grid related standards.
Provide expert guidance and support to internal teams, government agencies, and customers regarding grid code requirements and implications for grid-connected projects.
Develop and utilize grid simulation models to assess the impact of grid-connected projects on grid stability, reliability, and performance.
Justify grid-relevant requirements to government agencies, regulatory bodies, and customers, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory standards.
Prepare technical documents, reports, and presentations to communicate grid code compliance, simulation results, and project requirements effectively.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and regulatory compliance teams, to address grid-related requirements and ensure successful project implementation.
Maintain relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to stay updated on evolving grid codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal teams and customers to enhance understanding of grid code requirements and compliance strategies.
Identify potential risks and challenges related to grid code compliance and propose mitigation measures to ensure project success.
Stay abreast of technological advancements, industry trends, and regulatory changes in grid operations to continuously improve grid code compliance processes and methodologies.
Conduct / support peer and technical reviews according to the design project model.
Coordinate the technical implementation of the Power plant controller.
Desired Professional Experience / Competencies :
6-8+ years of experience in relevant field
In-depth understanding of grid codes, CEA requirements, and regulatory frameworks governing grid operations in India and other relevant countries.
Good understanding of grid simulation software tools (e.g., PSS / E, DIgSILENT, PowerFactory) and experience in developing and utilizing grid simulation models.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical documents and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with government agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Prior experience in justifying grid-relevant requirements to government agencies and customers is highly desirable.
Proven track record of successfully managing grid code compliance for grid-connected projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
Shall have good understanding of Steady State Simulations with PSS / E, PSCAD etc software for Wind Turbine generators by understanding of Short Circuit, PQ capability, Voltage limits, overloading of equipment.
Shall have good understanding of short circuit studies, fault analysis, Dynamic & Transient simulation, harmonic study etc.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with stakeholders, attend regulatory meetings, and participate in industry events.
