Network Engineer - Firewall

Description : About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our organization's network infrastructure.

You will play a critical role in ensuring network performance, security, and reliability across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network hardware, protocols, and security practices, and be able to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to meet organizational needs.
• Monitor network performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS), and access controls.
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to support network infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies.
• Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
• Participate in capacity planning and recommend network enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users when necessary.
• Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and best practices.
