About the Role
This role is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure — ensuring its reliability, performance, and security in alignment with manufacturing operations. The incumbent will oversee servers, endpoints, storage systems, virtualization platforms, backups, patch management, IT security (non-network), and related tools.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, endpoints, VC, and other devices.
- Manage Windows / Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server, and Group Policies.
- Implement and monitor backup solutions, disaster recovery, and patch management.
- Administer the Azure portal and review cloud logs & alerts.
- Handle endpoint management — desktops, laptops, printers, MDM, biometric devices, and UPS.
- Manage endpoint security tools (antivirus, device encryption, application control).
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware / software support and warranty claims.
- Support IT asset lifecycle management, documentation, and audits (ISO, internal controls).
- Monitor performance and uptime of critical IT systems and infrastructure.
Network & Security
Basic understanding of VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules.Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies and standards.Server & Storage Administration
Manage physical and virtual servers (Windows / Linux).Administer storage systems (NAS / SAN) and backup environments.Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Level 2 technical support for infrastructure-related issues.Perform basic troubleshooting for SAP ERP.Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes.Projects & Implementation
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, expansion, and technology deployment (cloud, automation, IoT).Collaborate with cross-functional teams for IT-enabled initiatives.Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate system documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.Ensure compliance with ISO, ITIL, and other organizational standards.Qualifications
Diploma Engineer / BCA / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field.Certifications preferred : MCSA, ITIL, Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, Azure, or equivalent.Experience : 6–7 years in IT infrastructure management roles.Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Group Policies.Understanding of cybersecurity practices and endpoint protection.Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V / VMware).Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to perform under pressure in a manufacturing environment.
