Job descriptionProvide engaging and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and tools to facilitate artistic expression and creativity. Encourage students to explore different mediums and techniques in visual arts. Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student achievements and prepare reports in line with IB requirements. Conduct student-led conferences and contribute to the development of student portfolios. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with CBSE practices and visual arts education. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's professional learning community. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Organize and participate in school events, exhibitions, and other community-building activities. Advocate for the visual arts within the school and broader community. Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Teaching certification or credential in visual arts education. Strong understanding of the CBSE philosophy and curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Overview :
As a Visual Arts Teacher , you will be responsible for fostering a creative and engaging learning environment for students of the CBSE curriculum. You will develop and deliver a visual arts curriculum that supports the philosophy and promotes the holistic development of students.
Key Responsibilities :
Curriculum Development and Implementation :
- Design and implement a comprehensive visual arts curriculum aligned with the CBSE framework.
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate inquiry-based learning, focusing on conceptual understanding and student agency.
- Integrate visual arts with other subjects through interdisciplinary units of inquiry.
