Core responsibilitiesMaintain financial records : Post journal entries, manage general ledger accounts, and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. Accounts payable and receivable : Process invoices, payments, and expense reports, and manage accounts receivable and payable functions. Bank reconciliation : Conduct and verify bank statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies. Financial statement preparation : Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements. Month-end and year-end close : Support the processes for both month-end and year-end financial closing. Compliance : Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards (like GAAP), and other financial laws. Auditing : Provide support during internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation and information. Budgeting and forecasting : Assist with budget preparation and financial planning tasks. Payroll : Help with processing payroll and preparing related tax filings. Qualifications and skillsEducation : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience : Prior experience in a similar role is often preferred. Software proficiency : Strong skills in accounting software (such as QuickBooks or SAP) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel are essential. Technical skills : Knowledge of general ledger accounts and balance sheets. Experience with financial reporting and data analysis.
