Consultant Editor

MPS is hiring for Consulting Editor with M Pharma background for Chennai Location.

As a consulting editor you are the first touchpoint of a newly submitted manuscript (or abstract). The main role of a Consulting Editor is therefore to conduct initial checks to :

• Determine if the manuscript complies with the Editorial Policies and the Aims and Scope of the specific journal they have submitted under.
• If there is a more suitable journal based on the study criteria and topic, to offer this to the author
• Assess clinical trial papers for adherence to clinical trial guidelines and registration.
• Check whether the study has received the appropriate approval for human and / or animal ethics.
• Assess the paper for English language, related to the understanding of scientific ideas, so that the best version of the manuscript is sent through to peer review.
• Check the quality of the paper by investigating papers for salami-slicing or redundancy.
