Position Overview
- The Senior Manager – SAP FICO Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) solutions across the organization. This role ensures alignment between business requirements and SAP functionality, driving process optimization and continuous improvement in financial systems. The candidate will oversee project delivery, manage a team of SAP FICO consultants, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and manage the SAP FICO functional team, ensuring successful delivery of projects and support activities.Define the SAP FICO roadmap aligned with business objectives and finance transformation goals.Collaborate with senior finance and IT leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.Drive governance and compliance initiatives across financial systems.Project Management
Lead end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and support projects.Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, templates, and global design principles.Coordinate with cross-functional SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, HR, etc.) for integrated solutions.Functional Expertise
Provide expert-level SAP FICO configuration and solution design in areas such as :General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA)Product Costing, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)Integration with MM, SD, and other SAP modulesDrive the implementation of new functionalities such as S / 4HANA Finance, Central Finance, and Group Reporting.Lead workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.Support & Continuous Improvement
Oversee L2 / L3 production support for FICO processes and ensure timely resolution of incidents.Ensure system controls and financial compliance (SOX, internal audit).Promote automation, standardization, and simplification of financial processes.Partner with business users for testing, training, and change management activitiesQualifications & Experience
Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology. MBA or Chartered Accountant (CA / CPA) preferred.Experience : 12–18 years of total experience, with at least 8+ years in SAP FICO and 3–5 years in a leadership role.Technical Skills :
Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration and integration.Exposure to SAP S / 4HANA Finance (migration, implementation, or Central Finance).Understanding of financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance processes.Familiarity with tools such as SAP Solution Manager, BTP, or SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus.Soft Skills :
