Orca —are redefining DNA / RNA extraction, library prep automation, and workflow intelligence for research and diagnostics labs across India and abroad.

We are looking for a

Sales Account Manager

based in Bangalore who can own and drive sales across South India by managing key accounts, building new relationships, and scaling instrument placements.

Key Responsibilities

Drive sales and revenue growth for

Manta ,

Beluga , and

Orca

instruments and related consumables.

Develop and manage a strong pipeline of customers including research institutes, diagnostic labs, and hospitals.

Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions on-site.

Manage full sales lifecycle – lead generation, qualification, demos, quotations, negotiation, and closure.

Work closely with the product and application teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and post-sales support.

Travel extensively (up to 70% of the time) across South India for client meetings, events, and installations.

Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and provide regular sales forecasts and market intelligence.

Represent Cambrian at conferences, exhibitions, and regional roadshows.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering , or a related field.

2–6 years

of sales experience in

scientific instruments or life science consumables .

Strong understanding of genomics, NGS, or molecular biology workflows preferred.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and handle travel schedules efficiently.

Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
