Job Description
- Support the Head of Project Portfolio by providing administrative support and ensuring compliance with project governance best practices for effective portfolio management.
- Produce consistent reporting of all portfolio aspects, including time, cost, quality, and resource management.
- Work closely with the PMO and Portfolio team to ensure project controls comply with defined governance frameworks.
- Assist with portfolio communication policies by assembling materials for publication to stakeholders, enabling clear understanding of the AHDL portfolio.
- Contribute to project management best practices through collaboration with PMO, Portfolio, and Business Partner teams.
- Provide foundational support for projects, programs, or portfolios, including planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting using established tools and processes.
- Follow recommended solutions to ensure accurate documentation and communication of project progress.
- Participate in project boards, assurance teams, and quality review meetings as necessary.
- Ensure project and program leads adhere to the agreed portfolio management approach and timetable, and provide accurate, timely information for governance.
- Produce governance reports and recommend changes to the portfolio as appropriate.
- Collect and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management.
- Implement communication strategies, manage complaints, corrective actions, and disseminate relevant information appropriately.
- Contribute to publication support activities and support data collation.
- Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Propose and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
- Support adoption of new technologies and tools for process automation and optimisation.
- Provide support on the use of existing methods and tools, configure and maintain them, and resolve basic issues related to tool usage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
Specific Skills :
Strong communication skills (oral and written).Good understanding of project delivery practices, reporting mechanisms, and portfolio support activities.Ability to support planning including critical path and dependency management.Strong influencing skills promoting best practices and governance adherence.Familiar with project quality reviews, risk, and issues management.Familiar with resource management tools and techniques.Experienced in reporting using Office tools for presenting facts, figures, and expenditure.Familiar with audit preparations and requirements.Work Experience :
7+ years of experience in portfolio, project, or program support.Experience in planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting using established tools.Experience in project financials / budget management and reporting.Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).Experience with resource capacity management.Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).Work Timings :
