Section Head - Instrumentation

Job Purpose :

Plan, monitor and coordinate the Instrument Maintenance activities of Viscose Plant, so as to  ensure continuous production and delivery within targeted cost and quality parameter.

Accountability :

Quantity & quality Plan, monitor and coordinate the Instrument Maintenance activities of Viscose / Spinning / Auxiliary Section, so as to ensure continuous and optimum production and delivery within targeted cost and quality parameter.

Supporting Actions :

Planning, coordinating and implementing various instrument maintenance activities - Translate the overall goals set by higher management, offers advice & recommend for achieving goals - Review customer complaints and take relevant corrective actions Identifying new projects / schemes

Accountability :

Ensure equipment automation and upgradation to have long term reliability / viability

Supporting Actions :

Relate market requirements to improve Product quality by continuous upgrading the equipment / instruments in plant. Identify new developments for equipment reliability, Implement Cost reduction measures. Implement Automation and Mechanization wherever required.

Accountability :

Cost optimization : Plan monitor & control cost (spare, inventory, repair & manpower) of instrumentation maintenance activities

Supporting Actions :

Review indents through verification against budget to reduce inventory. - Plan standardization and communization of spares. - Prepare kaizen & focused improvement study for reducing cost. - Reduce

consumption by improving uptime of plant. – Control utilization of contractor manpower and overtime. Prepare budgets. - Monitor consumption with respect to budget. - Take corrective action. – Ensure Maintenance contract are awarded only for special Instrument.
