Position :

Instrumentation / Senior Instrumentation Design Engineer

Location : Bengaluru

Experience

Required : 1 to 8 years

Responsibilities :

Preparing and reviewing BMS layouts using Revit and other 3D modeling tools

Preparing and reviewing control schematics, I / O lists and sequence of operations

Preparing and reviewing P&ID’s for the industrial and infrastructure projects using SmartPlant P&ID

Preparing and reviewing detailed material take offs (MTO’s) and bill of quantities (BoQ’s) of the BMS, SCADA and other control systems

Coordinating with other design groups (electrical, telecom, architecture, infrastructure, process and mechanical) to identify the locations of instruments, DDC’s, PLC’s, Remote I / O’s, junction boxes, power supplies, communication data outlets, others

Preparing instrumentation cable block diagrams and cables schedules

Selecting the appropriate instruments and preparing the relevant wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, data sheets, hook-ups using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI)

Preparing detailed I / O lists and instruments index

Reviewing BMS and Instrumentation & Controls related detailed designs and shop drawings done by suppliers, contractors and other consultants

Reviewing material approval requests (MAR’s) and participating in technical bids evaluations (TBE)

Supervising the installation of BMS and other control systems at construction sites

Witnessing the testing and commissioning of installed instruments and control systems (BMS, SCADA, DCS)

Leading, supervising and guiding two (2) IS&A engineers.

Reporting to Head of Mechanical & Industrial Department and Head of the IS&A Unit

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, Electronics and Communications Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.

1-8

years of experience in the design, implementation and testing / commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS), Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS) and SCADA systems including integrations with 3rd party systems is a must

Knowledge of IoT based building automation solutions, data analytics, cloud solutions, Edge Computing and Digital Twins is preferable.

Experience in the development of API’s and programming is a plus.

Holding certifications from relevant organizations / training institutes is also desirable.

Very good command of English language

Willing to be based in

Bengaluru

with chances of travelling to job sites in the Gulf region and elsewhere.
