SAP ABAP RAP || Associate - Manager || Mumbai / Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement applications using ABAP RAP, covering both managed and unmanaged scenarios.

Create and extend CDS views with annotations and metadata extensions.

Develop backend logic using OOABAP, optimized for SAP HANA performance.

Build and expose OData v2 / v4 services for Fiori / UI5 consumption.

Collaborate with functional consultants and frontend developers for end-to-end integration.

Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across RAP-based developments.

Document technical specifications and maintain development artifacts.

Technical Skills Required

Expertise in ABAP RAP (Managed & Unmanaged) – mandatory.

Strong knowledge of CDS views, annotations, and metadata extensions.

Proficient in OOABAP and modern ABAP development techniques.

Experience with SAP HANA artifacts like CDS, AMDP.

Solid understanding of OData services, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented architecture.

Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Fiori / UI5, and clean-core principles is a plus2.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

SAP certifications in ABAP, RAP, or HANA are highly desirable.

Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers.
