Responsibilities
Team leadership : Lead, train, and manage a team of shuttering carpenters and laborers.
Planning and scheduling : Create daily work schedules for shuttering activities to meet project deadlines and targets.
Blueprint interpretation : Read and interpret construction blueprints to ensure accurate formwork installation and alignment.
Quality control : Inspect and verify that formwork is correctly installed, level, and meets all dimensional specifications and quality standards.
Safety enforcement : Ensure all safety regulations and protocols are followed on-site and monitor for potential hazards.
Material management : Monitor and control the wastage of shuttering materials, maintain inventory, and ensure materials are repaired or replaced as needed.
Coordination : Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and other supervisors to integrate shuttering work with other trades like MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing).
Dismantling and storage : Oversee the safe and efficient removal, storage, and reuse of formwork elements.
