Pre Engineering Building (PEB) Engineer

Position : Pre Engineering Building (PEB) -Design, detailing, project management.

Job Summary :

R esponsible for various tasks depending on their specific role within the PEB lifecycle (design, detailing, project management etc.). This involves working with pre-designed and prefabricated steel structures etc.

Key Accountabilities :

• Design & Detailing :

a.      Developing designs and detailed drawings (GA drawings, erection drawings and other drawings,) based on the requirements and architectural plans, considering structural integrity and load capacity.

b.      Utilizing specialized software like AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, STAAD-PRO, ETABS, and others to create accurate and detailed drawings.

c.      Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes and safety standards (e.g., AISC, IS 800).

d.      Performing structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and efficiency of the structure.

e.      Developing mathematical models to accurately represent the building structure.

f.       Reviewing and checking fabrication drawings and design of steel welded / bolted connections.

a.      Developing and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and budgets.

b.      Allocating resources efficiently (labor, materials, equipment).

c.      Coordinating with architects, engineers, clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

d.      Overseeing and managing on-site erection and installation of PEB structures, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

e.      Addressing technical challenges and issues that may arise during the erection process.

f.       Implementing and enforcing safety protocols.

g.      Maintaining accurate records of inspections, tests, and project progress.

a.      Strong knowledge of PEB systems, structural analysis, steel design, fabrication, and detailing.

b.      Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Tekla Structures) and structural analysis software (STAAD-PRO, ETABS).

c.      Understanding of building codes and standards.

d.      Knowledge of material specifications and properties.

Experience and Qualification

Experience Required : 5-10 years of relevant experience

Qualification Required :   Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering
