Experience in Setting up WAS installation, including planning, installation and configuration of WebSphere Liberty and WebSphere Application Server.

• Ability to work in a Linux/Unix and Windows environment.
• Experience with WebSphere Liberty, Application Server Base and Network Deployment (WAS ND)

Created JVMs and have configured application as per the requirement in WebSphere Liberty profile, configured data source and JMS connections in WebSphere Liberty, Applying WebSphere Fix Pack patches, Configuration of WAS plug-in

Created JDBC Providers, Data sources, and JAAS authentication aliases to provide connectivity to databases.

• Knowledge of WebSphere MQ, IBM HTTP Server, IIS Apache server and WebSphere Plug-ins
• Understanding of TCP/IP network protocols and load balancers
• Manage the software Installation and configuration of WebSphere Liberty
• Manage the software Installation and configuration of WebSphere Liberty
• Troubleshoot and analyse any problems with WebSphere Liberty.
• Deploy new WebSphere Liberty applications and update Configure and maintain the security settings of WebSphere applications
• Monitor the performance and availability of WebSphere applications
• Ensure the compliance of WebSphere applications with corporate policies
• Excellent problem resolving interpersonal good communication skills with ability to work under pressure in a highly visible role in a team and individually

IBM WebSphere Liberty, Application Server 8. *, 9. *, IBM WebSphere MQ, Apache and Tomcat.

Knowledge of analysing heap issues using IBM Garbage collection and Memory visualizer and good at analysing GC logs by enabling verbose GC, Knowledge of analysing Heap dump, Thread dumps using various tools

Hands on knowledge with WebSphere Liberty and WebSphere Application Server on multiple platforms.

Will be ready for providing 24x7 On-Call Support.

Knowledge of troubleshooting problems related to WebSphere Liberty and WebSphere Applications Server for applications in conjunction with helpdesk, development team, networking team.

Familiarity and experience with various procedures and policies required for escalation and outage resolution with strong documentation skills.
