Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Order Management (SOM) Technical Lead / Architect to design, develop, and deliver scalable end-to-end Order Management solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Salesforce SOM , proven experience in integrations and orchestration , and the ability to lead technical teams in delivering robust, enterprise-grade solutions for complex order lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of Salesforce Order Management solutions.
- Configure and optimize SOM objects, orchestration flows, and workflows for :
- Order capture
- Fulfillment
- Cancellations
- Returns & refunds
- Payment processing
- Design and build automation using Apex, Flow, Composite APIs, and Platform Events .
- Integrate Salesforce SOM with external systems ( ERP, WMS, Payment Gateways, SFCC ) using REST / SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Define scalable data models and ensure data integrity across transactions.
- Implement business logic for split shipments, order holds, backorders, partial returns, and fulfillment routing .
- Monitor and ensure system performance, stability, and error handling across orchestration flows and integrations.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver aligned solutions.
- Mentor developers, conduct code reviews , and enforce best practices .
- Stay updated on new Salesforce SOM capabilities and recommend adoption strategies.
Technical Skills – Mandatory
Salesforce Order Management (SOM) : Strong hands-on experience with architecture, orchestration flows, and data model.Core Salesforce Development : Apex, LWC, Aura, SOQL, SOSL.Automation Tools : Flow Builder, Orchestration Flow Designer, Process Builder (legacy).Integration : REST / SOAP APIs, Composite API, Named Credentials, secure integration practices.Event-Driven Architecture : Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC).Order Lifecycle Processes : Fulfillment, splits, returns, cancellations, adjustments, holds.DevOps & Version Control : Salesforce DX, Git, CI / CD pipelines.Security & Compliance : OAuth2, JWT, PCI compliance, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with Salesforce Core Clouds (Service, Commerce B2B / B2C, Sales).Familiarity with middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).Exposure to fraud management in payment / order processing.Salesforce Certifications :Salesforce Order Management Accredited ProfessionalPlatform Developer I / IIMayur Batham
