Senior Manager / Associate Director IT (Infrastructure, Applications & Cybersecurity)

Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager / Associate Director IT to lead and own IT function end-to-end spanning infrastructure, cybersecurity, data security, enterprise applications, and compliance.
This is a strategic leadership role that requires a balance of hands-on technical depth, policy design, and strategic vision. The role will ensure IT environment is secure, scalable, compliant, and business-aligned, while driving modernization and automation across systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will proactively design, implement, and govern the entire IT and cybersecurity framework, including policies, procedures, and controls that protect the organizations people, assets, and data globally.
Key Responsibilities :
1. IT Operations & End-User Support
- Lead and manage daily IT operations across global offices and remote environments.
- Mentor and manage the IT team to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure service delivery.
- Oversee device provisioning, lifecycle management, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT operations and ensure proper documentation.
- Design and maintain automated workflows for IT support, onboarding, and issue resolution.
- Ensure helpdesk SLA compliance, uptime reliability, and continuous service improvement.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and ensure audit readiness at all times.
2. Network & Infrastructure Management
Manage all network infrastructure components firewalls, routers, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and endpoints.Oversee both on-premises and cloud environments (Azure / AWS) including backups and DR systems.Ensure robust network segmentation, monitoring, and bandwidth management.Drive capacity planning, preventive maintenance, and vendor performance reviews.3. Enterprise Applications Management
Administer and optimize Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Darwinbox, and other enterprise platforms.Ensure seamless integration and data flow across business systems.Manage licenses, renewals, and vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.Collaborate with business teams to improve user adoption, automation, and system efficiency.4. Cybersecurity, Data Security & Risk Management
Own and lead cybersecurity and data protection strategy, covering infrastructure, cloud, and applications.Implement and manage enterprise-grade security controls including MDM, MFA, DLP, EDR / XDR, and SIEM solutions.Establish a Security Operations Framework (SOC) for monitoring, detection, and incident response.Define and maintain security baselines, encryption standards, and data access protocols.Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and phishing simulations.Drive organization-wide awareness programs on cybersecurity and data privacy.Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR-equivalent, and client-specific security requirements.Develop and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC / DR) frameworks ensuring data resilience and availability.5. IT Governance, Policies & Compliance
Design, implement, and maintain all IT and Security Policies and Processes, including :o Information Security Policy
o Acceptable Use, Access Control, and Password Policies
o Data Protection and Privacy Policy
o Incident Management, Change Management, and Patch Management Procedures
o Vendor Security and Risk Management Frameworks
Ensure periodic review, communication, and enforcement of all policies.Lead ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and related IT audits ensuring evidence readiness and closure of findings.Establish governance cadence with leadership for IT performance, risk, and compliance reporting.6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage and evaluate IT vendors, MSPs, and service providers for quality, security, and SLA adherence.Collaborate with cross-functional leadership (Finance, HR, Operations, Delivery) to align IT strategy with business objectives.Drive technology adoption and modernization initiatives that enhance efficiency and user experience.7. Strategic IT Modernization & Automation
Develop and maintain a 35 year IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business growth and digital transformation.Introduce automation in user provisioning, patching, ticketing, and reporting processes.Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to enhance security, scalability, and collaboration.Champion IT as a strategic business enabler by driving initiatives that improve client delivery, operational agility, and risk posture.Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelors or masters degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.1015 years of total IT experience, with at least 35 years in a senior managerial role.Strong experience in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Dynamics 365, HRMS, and network administration.Proven track record in cybersecurity, data security, compliance, and audit management.Expertise in policy creation, IT governance, and risk management frameworks.Solid understanding of endpoint security, DLP, identity management, and disaster recovery.Excellent leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.Preferred Certifications :
Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator / Microsoft 365 Enterprise AdministratorSecurity : CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+Process : ITIL v4 Foundation / PractitionerGovernance : ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor (preferred)(ref : hirist.tech)
