Database Engineer - PostgreSQL

Job description3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Strong experience with Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS RDS Expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization Knowledge of backup / restore strategies and replication Understanding of cloud environments and database monitoring tools Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data migration strategies Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD practices Knowledge of security best practices in AWS
Description :
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage, configure, and optimize Postgres and Aurora databases on AWS
- Implement and monitor database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning
- Handle backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery (PITR, replication)
- Collaborate with application teams for schema design and query optimization
- Ensure database security, user management, and access control policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues efficiently
