Job Description :

  • AS 400 developer with RPG
  • AS400 (also known as IBM i or iSeries) developer
  • AS400 for tasks such as ERP, data management, and various other business applications.
  • They work with programming languages like RPG and COBOL
  • Proficiency in RPG (especially RPG IV, RPGLE, and RPG III)
  • We need AS400 with RPG exp combination only
  • Maintain and enhance RPG / CL programs
  • Modernize legacy code using SQL or newer RPG features
  • Develop and manage batch and interactive jobs
  • Integrate IBM i apps with web services or external APIs
  • Optimize DB2 database performance

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and enhance existing applications developed using RPG (RPG IV / RPGLE / RPG III) and CL programs
  • Modernize legacy codebases using embedded SQL, free-format RPG, or other modern RPG features
  • Develop and manage batch and interactive jobs on the IBM i platform
  • Integrate AS400 applications with external APIs or web services
  • Analyze and optimize DB2 for i (DB2 / 400) database performance
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

    • Technical Skills Required :

  • Strong hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM i / iSeries systems
  • Expertise in RPG IV, RPGLE, RPG III, and CL programming
  • Good understanding of embedded SQL, free-format RPG, and modern RPG practices
  • Experience with DB2 / 400 database design and optimization
  • Knowledge of web services integration and API communication from AS400 systems
