A civil engineer plans, designs, and supervises the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects like bridges, roads, buildings, and water systems. This role requires managing projects, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations, assessing risks, and collaborating with various professionals, from architects to government agencies. The work involves both office-based tasks like creating blueprints and field-based work like site inspections.
Key responsibilities :
- Planning and design : Create project blueprints and designs using software and data from site investigations, surveys, and soil tests.
- Project management : Oversee the entire construction process, manage budgets, schedule purchases, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Site investigation : Conduct on-site investigations, assess potential risks, and analyze data to inform project plans.
- Compliance and safety : Ensure all projects comply with legal requirements, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Collaboration : Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, and government agencies, and provide technical expertise to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintenance : Manage the ongoing repair and maintenance of completed infrastructure projects.
- Study of all structural, architectural and MEP drawings for proposed work..
- Coordinate with Contractors & Consultants.
- Report to the Project Manager of the Company.
- Plan & Supervise all the activities on Site.
- Maintaining Project Data.
- To Verify all material and bill of contractor / supplier.
