Job Description

This role involves supporting efforts to optimize traffic flow, enhance system performance, and ensure scalable and secure network operations. It requires a foundational understanding of networking, proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Go, and experience with Kubernetes, Kubernetes CNI, IPAM and Service Mesh management.

Responsibilities

Support Traffic Management Solutions : Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of solutions to manage network traffic efficiently.

Optimize Network Operations : Contribute to improving efficiency and performance.

Develop High-Performance Applications : Utilize C++ and Go to support the creation of robust applications.

Manage Scalability on Kubernetes : Help deploy and oversee scalable systems, focusing on Kubernetes CNI, IPAM and Service Mesh management.

Implement CI / CD Processes : Integrate and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to ensure efficient development and deployment workflows.

Collaborate with Teams : Work with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions and learn from senior engineers.

Contribute to Open-Source Projects : Participate in projects to keep eBay at the forefront of technology.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields.

Experience : 5 years in networking and traffic management.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in C++ and Go, Kubernetes, Kubernetes CNI, and IPAM management.

Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Envoy for traffic management.

Contributions to open-source projects.

Relevant certifications and experience in medium-scale environments.

Experience in Agile methodologies.
