Somani School in the year 2005. Today the school has a strength of 1100 students. With the aim of starting many more schools like this, the trust is looking for an Administrator.
Job Summary :
The Administrator with a commercial background will be responsible for the strategic development, financial management, and operational oversight of the existing and a new school. This role combines leadership with business acumen to ensure the school's successful launch and long-term sustainability. The administrator will work closely with various stakeholders, including staff, parents, local businesses, and government bodies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operations and Facilities Management : Oversee day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring smooth functioning of administrative systems, student enrollment, transportation, and security. Manage the recruitment, training, and professional development of administrative and support staff. Develop policies and procedures related to health and safety, admissions, student behavior, and curriculum delivery. Ensure the school facilities are well-maintained, including classroom environments, playgrounds, and common areas.
- School Development and Expansion Planning : Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the school, including long-term goals, financial projections, and market analysis. For expansion, oversee the location selection, design, and construction of the school facility. Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and educational boards to ensure compliance with local and national education standards.
- Financial Management : Develop and manage the school’s budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet both educational and operational goals. Monitor and control operational costs, including payroll, facilities management, and educational supplies. Oversee the school's financial audits and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with the school’s leadership team (principals, teachers, etc.) to ensure alignment of educational goals with operational capabilities. Cultivate a positive school culture, promoting student well-being, academic achievement, and a safe, inclusive environment.
- Compliance and Legal : Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to education, safety, and child welfare. Work with legal advisors to draft contracts, handle liabilities, and resolve legal matters as they arise. Monitor and enforce compliance with labor laws, including contracts for teachers and staff.
Key requirements :
