Job Expectations
Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a DevSecOps Servicenow Senior Engineer. This role will report to the Executive Manager OSS Assure technology domain within the Systems Engineering and Operations business unit.
A bit about your role
As the DevSecOps ServiceNow Senior Engineer, you will be a key contributor within the OSS Assure tech domain of DevSecOps, helping shape and sustain the secure, scalable and high-performing ServiceNow platform that underpins enterprise-wide solutions at nbn. You will work closely with a collaborative team of engineers and stakeholders to design, build and support robust ServiceNow applications that enable seamless service delivery, automation and integration across the organisation. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and resilience of Australia’s largest infrastructure project, ensuring our systems are not only fit-for-purpose but future-ready.
You will be entrusted with leading complex implementations, translating business needs into elegant technical solutions, and embedding agile and secure practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle. You’ll also play a pivotal role in maintaining platform stability, driving continuous improvement, and fostering strong partnerships across internal teams and external vendors. This is a role where your technical expertise and passion for purposeful innovation will leave a lasting impact on how Australians connect, work and live.
A bit about you
You are a thoughtful and solutions-focused engineer with deep experience across the ServiceNow ecosystem, including ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, CSM, and Service Mapping. You bring a strong understanding of secure architecture, delivery & maintenance expertise of ServiceNow, security hardening and integration practices, and you’re comfortable navigating complex environments with clarity and care. Your ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences sets you apart, and you thrive in spaces where collaboration and curiosity are valued.
You are energised by agile ways of working and have a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes through continuous delivery and automation. Your experience spans scripting, platform administration, cloud infrastructure, and ITIL-aligned service management, and you’re always seeking opportunities to uplift capability—both your own and those around you. You approach challenges with empathy and determination, and you’re known for inspiring others through your clear communication, inclusive mindset, and commitment to excellence.
If you’re ready to help shape the digital backbone of Australia with purpose and heart, we’d love to hear from you.
