An Accounts Executive for Receivables and Payables - manages a company's financial transactions related to both what it owes (accounts payable) and what it's owed (accounts receivable). To ensure accurate records, handle vendor and customer payments, and reconcile accounts. Key Responsibilities :
- Accounts Payable (AP) :
- Processing vendor invoices and payments : Ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
- Maintaining vendor records : Keeping track of vendor information, payment terms, and invoices.
- Reconciling vendor statements : Matching invoices with vendor statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) :
- Maintaining customer accounts : Keeping track of customer balances, payment history, and outstanding invoices.
- Processing customer payments : Recording and reconciling customer payments.
- Following up on overdue payments : Contacting customers to resolve outstanding invoices.
General Ledger (GL) :
Recording Transactions : Accurately recording all financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring proper debits and credits.Maintaining Ledgers : Ensuring that the GL is up-to-date and that all entries are accurate.Reconciling GL : Ensuring that the GL balances with the trial balance and other financial statements.Additional Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting : Preparing financial reports and statements, such as income statements and balance sheets.Reconciling Bank Accounts : Ensuring that bank statements reconcile with the general ledger and that any discrepancies are resolved.Compliance : Ensuring that all financial transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations.Working with Other Departments : Collaborating with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.Qualifications and Skills :
Strong understanding of accounting principles .Experience with accounting software .Excellent attention to detail and accuracy .Strong communication and interpersonal skills .Ability to work independently and as part of a team.............................................................................................................................................................................
