Job descriptionLead the design and development of core platform primitives — availability resolution, appointment lifecycles, time zone handling, and state-driven workflows Architect a system that prioritizes configuration-driven behavior over hardcoded logic, enabling dynamic rule-based booking flows Build scalable, composable services using NestJS, Redis, Firestore, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and GCP services like Cloud Tasks, Scheduler, and Pub / Sub Partner with product managers to translate industry-agnostic scheduling needs into developer-facing building blocks Drive platform-wide consistency in API design, configuration modeling, error handling, and extensibility Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure platform reliability, observability (Grafana / Prometheus), and maintainability Mentor engineers and foster a strong culture of platform thinking, technical excellence, and high ownership

As of mid 2025, it processes over 4 billion API hits and handles more than 2.5 billion message events every day. Our platform manages over 470 terabytes of data distributed across five databases, operates with a network of over 250 microservices, and supports over 1 million hostnames.

About the Role :
In this role, you will build the importer that moves entire automation systems in one click. Solve complex data problems. Open new markets at scale.
Our automation platform handles 12B+ actions / month and powers real business outcomes for millions of SMBs. Your importer will be a critical gateway enabling seamless migration into this ecosystem.
Requirements :
- 6+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale backend systems using Javascript
- Strong fundamental engineering skills : architecture, clean code, testing.
- Experience with node.js / nest.js / express.js
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver reliable data pipelines and integrations
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams, especially with product and design
- Strong communication skills and ability to advocate for engineering excellence
- Practical experience in reliable error handling at scale
- Deep database knowledge (MongoDB, Firestore)
- Proven experience handling complex API integrations and data transformations
- Strong knowledge of queues (Pub / Sub, Redis) and asynchronous processing.
