IT Project Manager

Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven IT Project Manager to join our team permanently in Leicester.

This senior role requires 712+ years of demonstrated success in planning and executing diverse IT projectsspanning applications, infrastructure, cloud migrations, ERP / CRM implementations, and security initiatives.

You will be fully responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while adhering to strict governance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities & Project Delivery :

1. Planning, Scope & Financial Accountability :

Project Initiation : Own the definition of project scope, timelines, and detailed budgets across complex, multi-stream IT initiatives.

Financial Management : Maintain stringent financial accountability for all assigned projects, tracking actuals against forecasts and managing budget variances.

Methodology : Effectively lead delivery using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting the approach based on project needs and team maturity.

Governance, Risk & Stakeholder Management :

Risk Management : Proactively identify, analyze, and manage project risks and dependencies, developing robust mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

Vendor Management : Manage external vendors and third-party partners, ensuring contract adherence and quality of delivered services.

Communication : Establish clear, transparent communication protocols, providing timely and accurate updates to all stakeholders, including executive leadership.

Compliance & Technical Standards :

Governance : Ensure strict compliance with internal IT governance frameworks, quality standards, and established project management office (PMO) guidelines.

Security & Data : Champion compliance with data security and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Security Frameworks (Preferred) : Knowledge of formal security frameworks like ISO 27001 or NIST is a strong asset.

Required Skills & Technical Experience :

Project Management Tools (Mandatory) : Hands-on experience with leading project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps.

SDLC Expertise : Proven experience managing projects across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), infrastructure rollouts, and cloud migration efforts.

Process Knowledge (Preferred) : Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow or BMC is a plus.

Modern Delivery (Nice to Have) : Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices
