Summary The IT Project Manager leads technology-driven projects from initiation through delivery. This role ensures alignment with business goals, adherence to budget and timelines, and compliance with organizational processes. The manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages risks, and delivers measurable outcomes. Core Duties and Responsibilities Project Planning and Scope Definition Define and align project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, resource schedules, and risk assessments. Execution and Monitoring Lead cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones. Use tools like Jira, MS Project, and ServiceNow PPM to monitor progress, track roadblocks, and report status. Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure agile delivery. Stakeholder and Team Coordination Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to gather requirements and ensure alignment. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Budget and Demand Management Coordinate with finance and PMO teams to process demands and secure budget approvals. Track financial metrics, forecasts, and audit compliance. Risk and Change Management Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Manage scope changes and ensure contingency plans are in place. Closure and Continuous Improvement Finalize documentation, conduct retrospectives, and integrate lessons learned into future projects. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT project management or related roles. Skills and Competencies Technical Fluency Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), infrastructure, and application lifecycle. Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices. Leadership and Communication Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement. Risk and Decision Management Proficient in risk identification, mitigation, and decision-making under pressure. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in dynamic environments. Tools and Platforms Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow PPM, Power BI, GitHub Actions, and other project tracking / reporting tools.15 years full time education
