Position : Senior PowerBI Engineer

Location : Bangalore, India

Job Type : Full-time

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior PowerBI Engineer to join our team in Bangalore (working remotely). The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Power BI, data visualization, and analytics. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced business intelligence solutions, contributing directly to reporting initiatives, and playing a key role in the optimization and strategic migration of BI solutions to Microsoft Fabric.

Key Responsibilities :

Reporting & Operational Support :

Contribute significantly to Business Intelligence (BI) projects across the organization group, translating complex business requirements into effective reporting solutions.
Ensure the continuity of report production and data analysis, maintaining high data accuracy and availability for business users.
Work closely with the existing BI team to effectively handle the increasing workload and support

operational reporting needs.

Utilize deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, and SQL for solution development and complex data querying.

Optimization & Migration to Microsoft Fabric :

Actively support the technical transition of existing BI solutions to Microsoft Fabric, demonstrating a strong willingness to quickly learn and adopt the platform.

Strategically improve the performance of reports and underlying data models within Power BI and the new Fabric environment.

Industrialize reporting processes, focusing on technical aspects like automated monitoring, automation scripting, and rigorous data quality validation.

BI Governance Participation :

Contribute to the defining and implementing of technical BI standards (e.g., security protocols, naming conventions, comprehensive documentation).

Help ensure the quality and long-term sustainability of reporting solutions and data assets across the organization.

Requirements :

Technical Expertise (Mandatory) : Extensive, hands-on experience in Data Analysis, Power BI, DAX scripting, and SQL querying.

Optimization Skills : Proven ability to optimize complex data models and report performance for high concurrency and speed.

Cloud & Platform : Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or a demonstrated strong willingness and ability to learn quickly to support migration efforts.

Collaboration : Must be a strong team player with excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively in an international environment.

Preferred Skills :

Certification in Power BI or Microsoft Azure Data / Analytics.

Experience with governance implementation (security, documentation) for BI platforms.

Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and ETL / ELT development.
