Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL workflows. The ideal candidate should have expertise in ETL tools, SQL, data integration, and data warehousing concepts, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and performance across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into ETL solutions.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across different environments.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation during the ETL process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures, performance bottlenecks, and data quality issues.
- Work with data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based platforms to build scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Document ETL workflows, technical specifications, and best practices.
- Support ongoing data migration, integration, and modernization initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
510 years of experience in ETL development and data integration.Hands-on expertise with at least one ETL tool (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, Ab Initio, or equivalent).Strong knowledge of SQL and RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.Experience with data quality, data governance, and metadata management.Familiarity with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.) is a plus.Exposure to cloud data services (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow, Snowflake) preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work in Agile / Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.(ref : hirist.tech)
